5th Grade Field Trip
5th Grade Field Trip
MHCC 5th Grade Field Trip

STARTING May 1, 2018...  For a $5 per student donation to the Military History Center of the Carolinas (MHCC), the Military History Museum will open its doors to you for a 5th grade field trip.

The curriculum for field trips to the MHCC Military Museum will relate to the 5th grade social studies standards for South Carolina. By looking at the role of Americans during the Spanish American War, World War I, and World II, students will learn how these events helped to make the United States a world power. Museum programs will look at the home front as well as the military aspect of these wars. Students will see artifacts, photographs, equipment, and the types of uniforms related to each period. They will also learn about posters used during World War I and World War II.

Field trip can be paid for at the time of your visit.  Cash or checks preferred. Checks should be made out to MHCC.  A
dult supervision is required. If you have teachers and volunteers who are assisting, we will waive their $5 donation. Field Trips rely on MHCC volunteers to help so we prefer to have groups of about 30 participants at a time.  Field Trips are usually conducted Monday - Friday (excluding holidays) starting at 10 am and lasting about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Advance reservations required.   MHCC is now taking reservations for field trips for May 1, 2018 and later dates.  MHCC reserves the right to cancel field trips at any time.
